I know that Easter is over but April is not and I'm still decorating and trying new things for this month!
I had this frame centerpiece holder that I just did this month( honestly I cannot remember where on earth I found the idea and I feel horrible so if you know.....please let me know so I can give them the credit for it!) and wanted some eggs on it. I got some brown mossy/nesty looking stuff (will work on not throwing away the wrappers so I can know what my supplies are called) at Joanne's and started from there!
You will need:
- Glass plate or bowl (Dollar Tree)
- Brown nest looking moss
- candle stick holder (Dollar Tree)
- 3 plastic eggs
- small dish (Dollar Tree in the candle section)
-Newspaper or old book or music
-Modge podge
First I glued the small dish to the top of the candle stick holder. Then I put the moss in the plate, spreading it around so it looked a little messy, as all nests should:) Then I stuck the bottom of the candle stick holder into the moss in the middle and pushed it all the way through and pulled the moss around the base of the candle holder so you couldn't see it. Then I started the eggs.
For the eggs, you tear up the paper that you have chosen into squares. Then piece by piece, you modge podge the pieces...yes sometimes overlapping....all over the egg until it is completely covered. Repeat with other 2 eggs. Once it is dry, modge podge on the outside to make it nice and smooth.
And there you have a very fun nest centerpiece! I will post about the frame centerpiece holder once I know who to give the credit to!
